Cold-formed Z Section Steel
Product Overview
Cold-formed Z section steel (Z purlin) is continuously roll-formed from galvanized or black annealed steel strips. Thanks to the special Z-shaped profile, components can closely overlap each other. It performs better under continuous-span load than C-section steel, widely adopted for large-span steel building enclosures. Custom cutting length and pre-punched bolt holes are available.
Key Advantages
- Superior mechanical performance Higher section moment of inertia, ideal for long-span roof structures. Overlapping connection forms continuous load-bearing system and saves steel consumption.
- Easy lap installation Ends can be directly overlapped without extra connectors, simplifying construction and shortening working time.
- Optional anti-corrosion treatment Galvanized steel strip as raw material provides reliable rust resistance for outdoor and humid environments.
- Flexible customized specifications Height, flange width, thickness and length can be customized to meet various engineering designs.
Application
Mainly used as roof purlins and wall purlins for large-span steel workshops, warehouses and prefabricated buildings. Also applicable for large supports and platform components.
